While I was scrolling through some photos on my parent's computer I stumbled across this little gem. Can you guess who this is? Being pregnant certainly puts a lot of things into perspective, and one of the questions I keep asking myself over and over again is, "Am I ready?" I've read all the prenatal books, and Mike and I even went to a breastfeeding class! I started having some on/off contractions Saturday and Sunday, which got me a bit worried because Mike is in Las Vegas this entire week for work. So, in order to spare myself any potential problems, I packed my little bags and moved in with my family for a few days. It's really nice to have somewhere to go, and I appreciate them taking me in. However, this baby can't come yet! I still have a birthing class to attend, and after that we are going up to the condo for some R&R. I have another shower coming with Mike's sisters, and general conference to watch...so as you can see, my schedule is full! On the other hand, it is getting pretty crowded in my belly these days. Even my trips to the chiropractor can't fix all the pain I'm in. And now for a humbling confession: last night I joined the countless ranks of pregnant women everywhere when I sneezed and...(how do I put this politely) lost control?! I never thought I would live to see the day, let alone confess it on the internet! Well, as for now I guess all I can do is take this adventure one day at a time, and trust myself enough that when the time comes to jump I will be able to fly!

HAHAHAHAHA! I just about peed my pants reading that! Are you ready for something shocking? It takes a while to get the control BACK too. hahah! Don't worry though, just take some comfort in the fact that women all over the world are crossing their legs when they cough. haha.
Awwww the lovely effects of a 6 pound bundle of joy playing soccor on your bladder! How I remember those days.... This too shall pass...with some gas to soon come...hehehehee Here is some advice that I was told at the time I lost my "control" and I also read about it......Kegels are a gals best friend when you are pregnant! Practice your kegels in the grocery line, watching a movie...ect ect Kegels kegels kegels! And if you don't know what a kegel is, then call me and we will have a nice long chat!
Are you ready? Probably about as much as any first time mommy to be...... which is like not at all ready. Scared yet? Don't be! No one has a manual when their first one comes a long. You will find that you have natural instincts, that you didn't even know existed! Just know that if you keep your same adventurous, exciting, care free, don't give a care attitude, in your mothering...then you will do great! How is Mike? Aloha to him for us!!!
