Introducing our sweet new baby boy! He came into this world Thursday October 26th at 1:15 AM measuring 20 1/2 inches long and weighing 8 lbs. 11 ounces. I started having contractions early Wednesday morning and that afternoon we hurried off to the hospital to see if it was legitimate. I was admitted, and the labor progressed steadily until I had my epidural, and then unfortunately things screeched to a halt. I wasn't progressing and the baby's heart rate was dropping to some scary levels. He was also positioned posterior and couldn't get out! So the doctor decided baby Peter had, had enough and I was rushed in for an emergency c-section. I admit I was scared and the c-section wasn't my first choice, but I was more concerned about the baby's health and safety to protest. He was born about 10 minutes later, and in the blink of an eye Mike and I are new parents! I still can't believe I'm a mom. This experience has been so surreal, beautiful, fun, scary and exciting all at the same time. All of the nurses at the hospital were surprised and delighted by his long blonde hair (apparently it's pretty rare), and Mike and I can't stop holding him and looking at him. He is so perfect! I just hope we can live up to the challenge...

He is so precious!!! It was so fun to go to the hospital and get him all to myself for a while-he is seriously so adorable! For all those that havent seen him in person he truly is a really cute newborn! I dont give compliments like that unless they are the truth-Megan knows me too well!!!haha We love you Megan and Mike and baby Peter! James is dying to see him but has had a cold the last few days. We also want to bring over dinner sometime. Let me know, i dont know if your ward is bringing in meals or what. call me! love,Heather
