in memory of

One of the craziest, funniest, smartest, most beautiful women I have ever met. She could always make me laugh, even on the worst of days. She was a loud Italian momma who always told it like it was. Some of my favorite memories are dancing and singing to Kozy 106.5 during work hours. Playing super collapse together until our eyeballs hurt. Reminiscing about the California beaches, and how we would take an all-girl road trip someday. Eating homemade enchiladas and watching the Superbowl together.

She was the crazy neighborhood cat lady who would stand on her porch and yell at you for no reason. She always told me if I looked fat, or if I was having a good hair day. She was true to herself no matter what. She loved the Lakers and Shaquille O'Neal, and frequently told everyone about it. She had the most beautiful naturally curly black hair, which for some reason she always brushed out so it was "bigger." In the end she gave a pretty good fight, but her body just couldn't keep up with her lively personality. I miss her already.

I love you Gail.

That was amazing Megan! I envy your incredible ability to write. Everything I feel about her and remember you expressed perfectly. I honestly started to cry just reading your tribute because the memories flooded back from the good ol' Check Cash days! I even put on "Careless Whisper" for Gary because that was HER song. She would sing it every time it came on the radio. She really will be missed and loved.
