*Moaning*
Life has come to a stand-still for this girl. I've been having back problems since I was about 6 months pregnant with Peter, and they have flared up occasionally since then (however, a trip to the chiropractor always seemed to do the trick). Unfortunately a few weeks ago, nothing was helping. If anything I felt worse after doing Pilates or visiting the chiropractor. My condition suddenly deteriorated overnight, and pretty soon I couldn't walk, pick up PK, or even sit on a toilet without experiencing a stabbing pain through my lower back. After countless visits to the doctor, I finally broke down and had an MRI done (which was an experience in and of itself). The result? It's a bloody pinched nerve! Who would have thought that one tiny little nerve could cause so much freaking grief?!
Luckily I've had some help with Peter, and my boss even gave me a day off work. I'm hopped up on some serious muscle relaxants and pain killers, but unfortunately if I'm not on the medication I'm pretty much a bump on a log. The pain has now spread down my lower back, into my left butt, leg, and even calf. I finally broke down and went out to do some yard work today, even though it nearly killed me. It has been so frustrating lying around while other people have to do things for you. So, if it takes me a few days to call you back, return your e-mails, or I have to bail on our plans, now you know why. Someone call the whaaambulance!!! I'm going in next week to see the anesthesiologist and get a cortisone injection in my spine. Hopefully that does the trick. Until next time...

Meg, I'm so sorry you've been miserable! And I really hope that the injection does the trick. Here's to hopefully being pain-free!
poor meg! I really hope your back gets unpinched! Last Saturday I read my mom's copy of The Choice by Nicholas Sparks. I liked the first half, but the second half was depressing. Oh, well.
Thanks again for watching the boys on Saturday. I even gave you a shout out on my blog. Are you counting down the hours until you get your shot?
Megan, we miss you. I hope your back feels better soon so that you can come back to blog land again.
