the virgin

As of last night, I am no longer a virgin. A virgin scrapbooker, that is! What did you think I meant? Sheesh. Get your minds out of the gutter!

This is a really crappy picture (but I wanted you to get an idea) of my first two scrapbooking pages ever. I was a little intimidated to join the ranks of a polished and seasoned scrapbooking group, but everyone made me feel very adequate and welcome. I also realized that everyone has their own way of doing things, and there really is no wrong way to scrapbook. I will post some of the other pages we did on Cupcake Chowder sometime this weekend. So, $80 dollars and countless hours later, I am now officially scrapbooking...

What did I get myself into?

Megan you did a great job last night. As with everything, the more you do it, the better you get at it. You will find your own style and what makes you happy. That's what it is all about, making you happy. Oh yeah, and preserving memories. You can view all the pages from last night on my blog at http://share-n.blogspot.com/

You definitely find your own style. And I've found that I often do more scrapbooking for others than for myself, whether it actually be scrapbooks or cards or whatever. But it's a great way to connect with my mother-in-law and sisters-in-law and I'm starting to have fun with it (and I'm addicted to paper anyway). We should get together and do it some time (we can do it at Nate's parents' house and use her Cricut and other really fun toys). :D
