Statistically speaking, if you write down your goals, you are more likely to complete them. Here are some resolutions I have been thinking about accomplishing in the new year:
1. get healthy. eat more fruits/vegetables. use my Legacy Center pass to exercise. cut-back on portion sizes. no soda. less junk-food. plan meals.
2. remodeling. patch holes/paint in master bedroom. finish bathroom - mud, paint, install new cabinets. if I get around to it: hallway, kitchen, flooring and dining area. decorate.
3. reading. keep up with my reading lists. book club. read the New Testament all the way through. read more of the Book of Mormon. read more to Peter.
4. gardening. get started earlier this year! do a vegetable garden. finally plant those hollyhocks and rose bushes I keep talking about. till up front flower bed.
5. organization. de-junk. de-clutter. organize bills. plan ahead. save. clip coupons. purchase more storage bins. balance: family, church, work and play. young womens. food storage. keep a 'house of order'.
"Cease to be idle; cease to be unclean; cease to find fault with one another; cease to sleep longer than is needful; retire to thy bed early, that ye may not be weary; arise early, that your bodies and your minds may be invigorated." -D&C 88:124

Mine also include exercising, eating better, getting organized, throwing stuff away, reading more, and falling in love again.
One of the only reasons I enjoy January(it's certainly not the weather!) is feeling like it is a fresh start on life. I think resolutions are good and help us to remember to keep striving to be better. I want to do I think all of the same resolutions as you with a few more of my own tacked on...
I'm guessing that this new blog might also be an asset to your new year. Just a guess... ;o)
I have three goals this year (I thought keeping it simple might keep it manageable):
1. Be less stressed
2. Work on having better posture
3. Do things that scare me or that are difficult (particularly using the phone)
:D
