This is actually about the Rocky poll. I recently watched all the Rocky movies again and up until I did so, Rocky IV was my favorite. After watching them, I realized that every movie after the original was fairly cheesy and so over-the-top American that I could barely watch them. (And I consider myself a fairly patriotic guy.)
So my vote definitely went to the original. (Which, as far as I know, is the only Stallone movie to win an Oscar.)
I can't wait to introduce Ryan to Star Wars . . . and then I'll have to have him recap it for me. We'll see how he interprets it (of course, I'll have to wait until we can actually understand most of what he says!).
Tayster: I've often pondered this question myself. Being such an avid fan of IV, V, and VI, it's hard to tell which set of "three" to show my children first?
Mike and I both agreed that it's OK to start Peter off in the middle (after all, it's how we were introduced to it!). However, I did loan all 6 movies to a girlfriend of mine, and they watched them from beginning to end. When she returned them to me, she said, "It's the first time I've ever gotten Star Wars! I loved it!" So I guess you never know?
Episode I seems to be a big hit with kids (it's my primary kids' favorite of the 6). Who knew?!
We don't own all six (I really don't like I-III), so our kids will start with IV-VI (and then I guess we'll have to borrow I-III from Mike and Megan). :)
Unlike a lot of people, I really didn't have a problem with 1-3. I mean, sure there are some cheesy things in them, but there are in 4-6 also, but we just ignore them because it's a sentimental thing.
Having said that, my oldest daughter has seen all of the movies. I believe she saw the original trilogy first because that's what we watch the most. (Her favorite is Return of the Jedi.)
My second oldest is not such a fan of the Star Wars films, so I don't know if she's even seen all of them.
My son hasn't seen any yet. (I think a few of them are too intense for him still) but most likely he will watch from 1-6.

..."He'll get cha!" HAHAHA that was awesome! I could so see Carter saying all that stuff. Kids are awesome.

Here's a question for Star Wars fans that will be introducing the movies to their children:
How will you show the movies to them? Will you go from 1-6 or watch them like we did by going 4-6 and then 1-3?
This is something we talked about while standing in line (overnight) when Episode I came out. (Back then you couldn't buy tickets on the internet.)
Cute video.. So, I'm guessing her parents are big starwars fans?? I could see some of my nephews or nieces doing this...
