On Saturday, May 10th, 2008, I'm going to do something I've never done before...I will be participating in the Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure in Salt Lake City. I will be walking with other women, moms, wives, sisters, daughters and friends to show my support in the fight against breast cancer. All of us know someone who has been affected by breast cancer. My own grandmother, Bobbi Wood, died of complications from breast cancer a few years ago. While she was not my biological grandmother, I still worry about my own health and try to do self-exams on a regular basis (and I plan on yearly mammograms when I'm a little older).

There is nothing more important for you or your family, than your health and well-being! If you are interested in joining my friend Leah and I as we "race for the cure" please click on this LINK and join our group: "Team Tata's". Hope to see you there!

I have been meaning to register! Thanks for the reminder, I just signed up. See you there!
Megan,
I'm so excited that you are doing this! I did it last year with my mom, my sis, an aunt and a cousin! It was the BEST experience. I really cried, like, half the time! We are doing it this year, but with all the girls in the family(except the 2 that live in Washington) I think there will be about 13-14 of us! I'm super exctied, it's such a great experience.....ENJOY! Monica
Thanks for all of your comments Meg. I Love the wedding singer also. I realized when you wrote your favorite's that I still havent seen practical magic, or An Ideal husband. I guess I'd better check them out huh??
PS: That's awesome that your doing this race for the cure..
We've been doing the Race for the Cure as the Burt family for three years now (Teri, my mother-in-law, is now a five year survivor!). Nate and I always walk the 5K. This year Ryan wants to walk it; I believe he can, but I'm still going to encourage him to use the stroller, so I can go as fast as I want to. :D I really hope I get to see you there!! (Are Mike and Peter coming too?)
