Hello, hello, hello! This little cupcake has been busy, busy, busy. Summer is flying past, and I feel like I haven't even had a chance to sit down and smell my roses...literally. I am itching to get my fingers in the dirt, but I have to subdue those urges until I can get the other things on my list completed first. This weekend I spent three days down in Delta, Utah for our ward's youth conference. It was so worth the sleepless nights of giggling girls, pranks involving yours truly, swing dancing lessons, two hours in a car with the entire bishopric/young men's leaders (yes, I was the only girl on that ride), crazy water fights, sub-par food, and an air mattress with a hole in it. Oh the stories I could tell! How much time do you have? But like I said, SO WORTH EVERY SECOND. I absolutely adore the youth in our ward, especially my exceptional, talented, brilliant, sassy, amazing young women. They have brought so much happiness to my life; I truly look on all of them as my own daughters. I loved being able to spend more one-on-one time with them. Our stake leaders provided so many fun activities, games, devotionals, firesides, EFY speakers and opportunities to strengthen their testimonies (mine too!). I am so grateful for my calling, and I hope I can stay in young women's for a long, long time. I now have a HUGE appreciation for my own young women leaders, and all the time and work that went into each and every activity and lesson. Needless to say, I had a great time, and I'm sure I could do an entire gratitude post about youth conference alone...
Friday was my 5 year wedding anniversary. Obviously I was in Delta, so we couldn't celebrate properly, but the girls did wish me a happy anniversary that morning. I'm sure Mike and I will be going out sometime next week to mark the occasion. P.S. 5 years and I love you more and more each day Mr. Holdaway. You are the peanut butter to my jelly.
One more thing before I go. I realize it's been a few weeks, but I just wanted to give a shout-out to my amazing in-laws for all their hospitality while we were in Wisconsin. It was one of the best vacation trips Mike and I have ever taken, and it was all because of them! We loved hanging out and spending time with you doing little things like reading books, shopping, watching movies, swimming, playing marbles, painting doors, going out to eat, and just being together as a family. I loved the evenings at home relaxing and having family prayer; especially all the love and attention you lavished on my baby. Peter really misses his "Graga" and "Graga", but we'll see you soon in August! Muuaaah! xoxo - Meg

Meg, I am so glad that you had a wonderful time at youth conference! Aren't the youth wonderful? I can't wait to hear all of your amazing stories. :D
You are so fetchin funny!
I love the honesty of the air mattress. I know and sympathize!
I think working with the youth is awesome, but I have to say that every calling in the church for me has been so appreciated after I have been in it. Wait until your primary Chorister, RS president, and then Gospel Doctrine teacher!! :)
Hello,
My name is Suzanne and I am one of Ann's friends. I have been popping on your blog every once and a while and have decided to finally say something. I find I have a lot in common with you and hope you do not mind me coming around! Have a great day! Suzanne
Megan, You were in DELTA? That's right down my way. In fact our High Schools are rivals since we are the only two schools in Millard County! I have to say Delta isn't bad, but the east side of the county is much better! :) I'm glad you had a good time. I'm starting to understand what everyone means when they say the youth are great, I've always been in Primary and YW has terrified me, but after going to camp I see things differently!
