RANDOM QUESTION #1

If you could go back in time, and witness any event in history, what would you choose to see?

It could be something as simple as the day you were born, or an event as complex as the building of the great pyramids. Would you see something religious? The creation of the earth. The building of the Ark. The Sermon on the Mount. Perhaps you would be a part of something political? The signing of the Declaration of Independence, or Martin Luther King Jr. giving his "I Have a Dream" speech. There are limitless possibilities. So let's hear it. What would be your ultimate fly-on-the-wall experience? The answer is completely up to you...

Oh man, where to go - so many possibilities. It would have to be seeing the Savior during His lifetime - but at what point? His birth, in the temple teaching the doctors or healing people. If I could go with the knowledge I have now I wish I could be one who spoke up for him.

I would definitely see Christ visiting the Americas. So much happened in the short time he was there. It would have been a magnificent experience.

Oh my gosh..do i have to pick one?

{thinking}

{Kennedy, Titanic, Shakespeares first play,}

You know...as i was REALLY sitting here scanning my brain trying to come up with something really good, the one thing i would have loved/given to have seen is the day my grandparents were married. I never met my grandfather, he died when my mom was 13. And for some reason, as a little girl and older, I've just felt very compelled to him. Always seeking stories and answers to who he really was. That way, if i saw that day...I could have a moment with him even as a stranger, to have known him.

As for history...oh i was so want to answer this question from that perspective...I'll get back to you.

GREAT idea! Loved this post! five stars *****

Easy - Saviors life and it is a tie between the last supper and visiting the American continent. No question or doubt about it! -Suzanne

I have pondered over this since you posted. My favorite would be the Savior on the American contintent when he visited with the children. I read about that in the Book of Mormon & just feel the spirit through the written words. Imagine how it must have been in person. There are others I would like also - I would love to spend time with my grandparents - the last of whom died when I was a small child. Historically - I would have loved to walk the streets of Old Nauvoo and run into the prophet Joseph.

I have thought about this one too..
My answer would be the same as your Mother In laws.. I completely agree.. The Savior.. To know Joseph Smith in Nauvoo and see the saints crossing the plains.. And be with my Great Grandma Mary in the hill home I have on my blog..

Sorry.. I choose 4.

* I love that most people desire to see their ancestors! So great!

I think it would be a toss up of my birth, or the birth of my husband.

I think all of these are so good! One day that would be pretty amazing would be April 6, 1820, when Joseph Smith had the first vision. I am sure that would be amazing to see. I thought about this one for awhile, there are SOOO many things I would love to be there for!

What's with the hard questions lately? I can't narrow it down to one. Of course all the great Church history stuff.... I would love to get to know my ancestors. It would be cool to see my birth, I mean not the actuall birth, but the aftermath. I was a pretty sick litle one and I've always been awed by my parents strength at such a young age and in dealing with problems with their first baby. Maybe my parents and grandparents weddings. Great question Miss Megan! How about you?

Oh gosh. I do have a few, and I'm gonna steal a few too. The creation of the earth would be amazing...Plus I want to know if Darwin was right or not. Living the nativity story would be miraculous (although can I go back as a man? Much easier life). And I wouldn't mind seeing the parting of the Red Sea (thanks Dad).

As for historic events...possibly the first production of Romeo & Juliet in England. I wanna see a male Juliet! :) Anytime during the reign of Elizabeth I - I would love to meet that gal and pick her brain. The invention of the telephone, and the first phone call ever. Must thank Mr. Bell for that one...where would we be?! I also think it would be cool to hear MLK give his "Dream" speech. Love you MLK! Of course mom pulled out a good one with Old Nauvoo. I would love to be there, and helping and serving and wearing a bonnet. Ann can come help me pick out my furniture...

But my #1 pick would be the night Diana died. I would have thrown myself in front of that car if it meant she never got in, never took that drive, and never crashed in the Paris tunnel. I guess that's considered changing the future, but it works for me. If the Gods wouldn't allow it, then I'd like to be there for the wedding. That dress! St. Pauls! The pomp and circumstance. Fabulous!

I'll let you know if there are any others...Thanks for participating!
