I am really excited about this new 11 part series on the Discovery Channel titled, "Planet Earth". The first episode airs Sunday, March 25th at 6:00PM. Some of you may have seen a blurb about it on Oprah a few weeks ago, or if you subscribe to Entertainment Weekly they mailed out a teaser DVD in this weeks issue. The show looks spectacular! They spent 5 years compiling footage of places and animals (most of which has never before been captured on film). Since there are many of you among our family/friends whose interest lies in science and nature I thought I would pass the info along. It looks like a great show to watch with your kids. Needless to say Mike and I are planning on recording all the episodes to our DVR.

Oh yeah baby - you can bet your buns that I will be watching this! Saw it on Oprah originally and told Dan we have to make it a family event on Sunday nights now! Bye Bye Desperate Housewives.
WOW! Me and Gary have been counting down the days until it starts... We actually have been seeing commercials for it on Discovery Channel. In fact, we saw one just last night and Gary started rubbing his hands together with excitement!!!
we are so psyched to see this! It looks like it will be amazing! I just hope the narrator isn't annoying...
I can't wait . . . We've got it set to record in HD on the DVR. And even Ryan has been excited about the commercials.
So after watching the first three episdes, all I can say is AWESOME! I absolutely loved it (and Nate was even impressed, really cool considering he's not into nature programs). I was particularly excited to see the snow leopard hunt, the flooding of the Kalahari, and the wild dog hunt. I couldn't believe the footage or how hard they had to work to get some of it (3 years for the snow leopard!!). Can't wait for next Sunday.
