Sweet Treats Book Club

If there are two things I care about most in life, it's being with the people I love, and reading a good book. Put the two together, and I'm in my own personal heaven! Last Thursday marked the start of my new book club, Sweet Treats (I have been in other book clubs before, but I've never done one of my own). It was so much fun having all my girlfriends over: eating, discussing books, and having an all-around great time!

Our first book selection was Twilight by Stephenie Meyer (I picked that particular book since most everyone had read it beforehand). Oh, how those ladies love Edward Cullen! Now, I can only speak for myself, but I think the party went off without a hitch, and I am looking forward to next month's meeting. For those of you who are interested in joining the group, we would love to have you! To see what the Sweet Treats Book Club is reading for April, please go to my website, Cupcake Chowder, for news and updates.

P.S. Yes, I made those cute little bookmarks for the club, and if anyone wants one, I have a few extra. Just call or e-mail me, and you can come over to pick one up.

Darling book marks! I wish I'd lived closer to you guys so I could be in more of the fun you guys have.
Maybe one time I'll have to check out your club!

Meg, I had such a great time! I can't even tell you how excited I am to be a part of your book club. And even though Twilight isn't my favorite book, I really enjoyed the discussion that we had about it. :D And I thought that the food was fabulous, the company enjoyable, and being away from at least one of the kids for the night--divine!

It really was a total blast!! Loved the book marks. It makes me smile every time I pick up my book to read to see my little orange sticking out of the top. :)
