longer days
When my family first moved to Utah, I was always puzzled by the fact that the minute there is a sunny day (about 40+ degrees on the thermometer), everyone is outside with shorts and sandals?! Brrrr!!! Having lived in this cold climate for quite some time now, I think I'm finally beginning to understand the concept of playing outdoors whenever you get the chance.
One early afternoon, I was with Peter inside when I got a soft knock on my front door, and a little round face peering through my window. It was the neighborhood kids (who I figured were hibernating since I hadn't seen them for several months) asking if they could play on our rusty old swingset. The day was mild, with a slight breeze and lots of sunshine, so I bundled Peter up and took him outside with the rest of the kids.
The pictures make it look a lot colder than it was (the snow in the background is deceiving...I believe it was around 55 degrees that day), and PK thoroughly enjoyed himself, running wild through the yard and swinging with the girls. Now of course, the mere mention of the word "outside" or "go" has my little boy bolting for the door. I just have to keep telling myself that a few more weeks, and we'll be well on our way to playing in the spring sunshine every day.

Cute Pictures!
Yes, I know the outdoor thing well.
Both of my kids thought that since the snow is off the hill could the get out the waterslide today??
Next PK will be asking for the fun girls to play with everyday. :)
Could Belle be any cuter?! I love that girl. Okay PK is pretty cute too. :) It is making me so happy to have it be sunny later. It is supposed to rain/snow for the rest of the week though, bummer.
haha! We wondered that same thing when we moved to montana! Almost made me crazy, wanting to roll down my car window and shout at mothers to put their kids in warmer cloths! "it's only 50 degrees" I'd say! and yet here I am, flipping moms like me the bird and hauling jake and sam around in shorts in a t-shirt. haha! love it!
