You know you live in Lehi when:Picture this: the Holdaway family sitting around the TV one night watching Jeopardy. Peter is quietly playing on the floor with his toys. Suddenly, a strange and unfamiliar noise from outside has everyone looking up.
Daddy: What was that?
Mommy: I don't know?
Daddy: It sounds like the neighbor kids.
Mommy: It sounds like a cow in heat.
Daddy: *grins* (He thinks mommy is silly).
Even little Peter has stopped to listen to the strange noise coming from outside. After a few minutes, we quietly resume our activities. Suddenly, we hear a loud bang! from outside. Mommy and Peter rush to the door.
Mommy: Honey, you need to come see this.
Daddy: What is it?
Mommy: A cow.
Daddy: No it's not.
Mommy: Come see for yourself...
We all stand on the porch, while Peter watches in horrified fascination as a cow is hog-tied and loaded into a large horse trailer right in front of our eyes. The cow had apparently gotten loose from it's pen, ran several miles through suburbia, and ended up crashing through our neighbors chain-link fence. I'm only speculating it was in heat, but if it was, my original guess was pretty darn close. Only in Lehi. Yeehaw!

Hilarious Megan! There are a few other towns that I could see this happening in too. What fun!!
Oh, I love it!
No, I am not reading that right! That is seriously awesome!!!! So proud of our great little city. hahaha thanks for the laugh. I will be calling you shortly, the in-laws leave early Thurs. morning so we need to hang out soon. Are you going to Sean's party?
Awesome! I love it! There are still plenty of patches of rural life, even on the I-15 corridor. Half of me is jealous that you live out in it (I grew up in rural Indiana, after all), and the other half is absolutely relieved that I'll never have cows jumping over the Costco wall to roam through our garden. ;D
Oh...i know that this was an older post, but wanted a current post....there is a little boy at my kids school named Anakin McEwan. Poor boy....
