gratitude (week 18)

This week I'm grateful for:

The week to finally be over! The 1lb. bag of peanut butter M&M's that got me through my darkest moments. All the telephone calls, e-mails and comments from family/friends asking if I was OK. Anxiety medication. A genuinely loving, sincere and patient husband. Unconditional love from my little PK. Shopping and lunch with Miss Ann and Miss Heather. Coconut toasted marshmallows over a bonfire. John Waterhouse prints. My dad's back-rubs. Outdoor movies.
Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli. Swimming. Family prayer. The Disney Store. Spending time with Jen and the girls. Betty Crocker's New Boys & Girls Cookbook. All the parents who serve in my ward's nursery. American Girl dolls and books. Naps. Pay-raises. A mowed lawn. Emma Smith. Art books. Coconut shrimp tacos with mango salsa. Gymboree sales. Pooh's Sleepytime Stories. Wagon rides. Viva la Vida by Coldplay. Fresh corn on the cob. Discussing movie lists with Nate and Marie. Antique shopping in Sun Prairie. Patience.

So Not Fair! I'm doing a gratitude post today!! Great minds think alike! :)

I am grateful for you, the past weeks being with you, laughing with you, loving me despite my flaws, and you introducing me to the beautiful waterhouse paintings, stargirl, and American dolls. You are such a fun girl, and I am so lucky to be related to you! I love you Megan!

Hey, I'm a little late checking in, but I'm sorry to hear that you had such a hard week. Here, in no particular order, are some things that always help me feel a little better:
1. Cry
2. eat ice cream
3. read a really great escape novel or watch a good movie
4. read Patriarchal blessing
5. get a Priesthood blessing of comfort and peace
6. rant to husband
7. go out to eat (dinner with husband or lunch with girlfriends)
8. read one article out of conference Ensign every day
9. write in journal and just let it all out
10. pray pray and then when it starts to hurt again pray some more

Good luck!
