camping is in-tents!

This week I'm headed out into the wild blue yonder, also known as Girl's Camp 2008. Our theme is called, "Like the Stars" and is based on a sweet song (of the same name) sung by an LDS woman, Jenny Phillips. Camping is always a bittersweet ordeal for me. Most of you know I'm not what you might call an "outdoorsy" kind of gal. I don't much care to be cold or dirty, I need my space and privacy, and I absolutely must have running water (ie: toilets and showers to be specific). However, because I love the girls in my ward so much, I'm willing to brave the elements to spend some quality time with them. So, if you don't hear from me for a week or so, please send out a search and rescue unit to track me down. Most likely I will be huddled in the fetal position in a hotel bathroom somewhere (that is, if things go horribly wrong). However, I'm hoping for the best, and expecting to have a great experience. Bon voyage, darlings!

Buena suerte, viel Gluck, and good luck, Meg! I hope it goes really well, but even if it doesn't, we'll have tons of fun when you return. :D

Good luck! I think it sounds kind of fun to be surrounded by a bunch of young women out in the wilderness. Brings back memories of when I was the "young woman" giving all my leaders grief. Looking back I really did love those ladies and I'm sure your girls feel the same way. I'm excited to hear how it goes.

Good luck, you will have fun. It always seems so hard going, but by the end you always leave enjoying it. Take the girls on a few "snipe" hunts for me! :) Did you guys do those?

Good Luck! Hope you don't run into any snipers and that the Young Women do not suran(sp?) wrap your toilets! Don't forget to pack some depends, because you know you will laugh most of the time when you hang with the Young Women! Don't forget the bug spray! -Suzanne

Good luck, I hope that you had a great time, too bad you can't go and get pampered camping at Heber Valley. I am sure the girl's loved having you come!
