Happy Birthday Kelly!

My little sister Kelly turns 24 today, so in honor of her birthday here are 24 reasons why I love her so much:

24. Growing up she was my best friend, playmate, buddy, confidant and sometimes servant.
23. Kelly loves animals, especially cats and dogs.
22. She always looks amazing, from her cute hair to her stylish clothes and funky accessories. Kelly is always incredibly groomed from head to toe.
21. She never judges or criticizes me. EVER.
20. Kelly always makes people feel like they can be comfortable and be themselves.
19. Which is why she is such a fabulous stylist! (I always see the other beauticians and clients listening-in on her stimulating conversations).
18. Kelly is an extremely talented artist. I personally think her cartoons are the best. Clients have commissioned her to paint antique furniture, but she is too humble to tell people that.
17. Kelly introduced me to The Princess Bride and Harry Potter books.
16. She is a true girly-girl. She loves fairies, dolls, tea parties and chick flicks.
15. Kelly is a loyal and true friend. She always fights for the underdog.
14. I love free waxing, free haircuts, and free advice whenever I ask for it.
13. Kelly is the best person to play barbies, ponies, dolls or dress-ups with, hands-down.
12. She is an amazing stylist. People come from miles around to sit in her chair and get pampered. She even has a few famous clientele (Lionel Richie's personal assistant gets his hair done by Kelly).
11. Kelly loves to garden and has a beautiful yard.
10. Actually, Kelly loves anything to do with the outdoors: camping, boating, hiking, swimming, dirt-biking, bbq's, etc.
9. Kelly is a wonderful wife, and I know she will be a great mother someday, because she is so good with children (she was Mary Poppins to the Heras kiddies for several years).
8. I love dancing with Kelly in front of our parents mirror, with the stereo cranked up full blast.
7. Kelly is a wonderful actress, and has been in several plays (Pale Pink Dragon, The Music Man, to name a few).
6. Kelly is bilingual; she speaks both English and Spanish fluently.
5. She is a great bargain shopper, and I am constantly amazed at the cute things she finds discount.
4. Kelly makes a mean Chinese chicken salad.
3. I love hearing Kelly play her classical guitar and singing Joni Mitchell or Jewel.
2. Anyone who meets Kelly loves her, as evidence by the free dessert that was sent to our table at the Olive Garden last week (from a client who was eating there too).
1. Kelly is the most beautiful person I know inside and out. I'm so glad that she is my sister! Happy birthday sweetie pie.
