momma Leah & buddy Ben
Last Saturday, my girlfriend Leah came down with her little monkey Ben to spend some time with me, while Mike was working the first BYU game of the year. For those of you who don't know Leah, she is one of the funniest people you will ever meet ("eggrolls?"). We've known each other since my San Diego days, and we were even roommates here in Utah when I met Mike. Needless to say, it's always a lot of fun for us when we get together. Leah's husband is deployed to Iraq right now, so occasionally she will leave the army base and visit her civilian friends in the valley. "Momma!"
We had one of the nicest days ever! The weather was absolutely perfect. We went to Leah's favorite local eatery: "Tenney's Sports Deli" (yes, it's one of my relatives) and got lunch. Later we loaded the boys into the car and took them to the mall. They had a great time sitting side-by-side, while the mommy Megan and mommy Leah belted out show tunes in the car. 1 Disney Store, 2 mall pretzels, and 3 hours of shopping later, they were understandibly a little frazzled.
That night we put the boys to bed (in the same room), popped some popcorn and watched a chick flick. After the movie was over, we heard muffled noises coming from the nursery. Listening at the door, we realized they were both still awake, and having the best time making each other giggle. It really was the cutest thing ever. They got along so great, and I am just tickled that Peter is starting to interact and make friends with the kids around him. Ben and Leah - you are welcome to come over anytime you want! Yay!

I'm glad you had such a fun day!
I still havent been to Tenney's sports deli yet. So shameful!
Sounds like a fun day!
I'm sorry did you say Eggroll? ;) First of all yes, we would love to come down again and have banana splits to celebrate your birthday! I have been kinda busy but I will call you soon!
Those pictures are so cute! I am saving them to our computer!
Ben LOVES hanging out with peter. He keeps asking when he can play with Peter.
PS Random - As I was reading your post, Ben is in the background watching the Mickey Mouse Club. And the show randomly starts singing a song, "shake shake shake your peanut. Shake your elephant..." HAHAHAHHHAAAAAA LOL HAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHA! Seriously, if you had a dirty mind......
Eggroll?! hahaha that was seriously hilarious! Love you Megan, Leah, Ben, and Peter. Glad it was a fun day!
Those pictures look so cute. I bet they'll get into a lot of mischief together!
How fun does that sound and I'm sure it was just what your friend Leah needed, a little girl time away from her reality. My BIL just came home from Iraq in June and I know it was a long repetative year for my sister, one day to the next. Great friends always make things better....for all of us!
Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Megan, Happy Birthday to you! Hope you had a fantastic day today and that you enjoyed the ever so DELICIOUS Cheesecake Factory, so jealous!
