Some of my friends and family have heard me talk about the new girl in my dad's life, Kristina, over the last few months. However, I'm sure there are many of you in blogger-land that are hearing about this for the first time. Tina was my dad's first girlfriend, many moons ago when he was just a young lad; surfing, getting ready to go on a mission, and living with his family in southern California. My dad and Tina re-connected after many years, both recently divorced, and are now planning their own happily ever after. My dad called me today, and told me that they have finally set a date for October, and I get to be the official party planner - which is my favorite job in the entire world! Tina lives across the pond in Sweden, and has four kids of her own (and yes she has a very cute accent). I'm sure I'll meet all of them someday, but for now I enjoy looking at her daughter Lina's blog (I hope you don't mind the shout-out Lina) and seeing what life is like outside the United States. I just wanted to say how happy I am for both Tina and my dad, and hope that she doesn't mind being a Tenney now. Congratulations!

Whoo-Hoo! Planning a party? You are soo lucky! I told Uncle Richard that he'd better have a party we are all invited to, because yes.. we want to celebrate!
Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you. I love you, and am grateful for your sweet and uplifting comments on my blog. ~ You always say the right stuff. :)

Happy Wedding! I got to meet your dad and Tina when I was up there last. I'm so glad that my mom has such good friends while she's away from us.

Oh Megan that was a cute post, I think I have to make one too! I'll e-mail you later since you're the official party planner now ;)
Thanks for the shout-out Megster! I'm really a very fortunate fellow to have found (again) such a wonderful, sweet woman (I feel like I don't deserve her!) and to be in love again. And very grateful for your support (I know this is REALLY hard for the children involved here).
FWIW, I'm in the gym 3 times a week working on that old man gut! ;o)
Congrats Uncle Richard! Meg- You will do awesome! You are great at that kind of stuff. BTW- Bunko went awesome thanks to you!

All sorts of excitement! Just curious . . . Is she going west, or is he coming east? Happy Planning!
