change your shoes, change your life

Singer and celebrity, Beyonce Knowles, would now like to be known as her sexy alter ego, Sasha Fierce. In light of this recent declaration, I Megan Holdaway, would also like to be known as my sexy alter ego:

Cecilia Q. Bloomingfield
Cecilia has been a character in my head for some time now. She lives in the historical romance novel I have yet to write, and she could probably take on Sasha Fierce any day of the week. Ms. Bloomingfield wears fabulous clothes (mostly silk dresses and dancing slippers), drives around in an expensive ride (horse-drawn carriage), and dates wealthy, handsome and aloof men (think Jay-Z, except without the enormous cranium, gaudy bling, and indistinguishable ebonics).

One of the things that I love the most about Q. Bloomingfield is that she gets to do all the things I secretly wish I could do. She can slap men shamelessly across the face, wear the equivalent of a Wonder-Bra without fear, and have meaningless relationships without any repercussions or consequences. Cecilia can eat rich food and never get fat, shop with an unlimited credit, and live someplace amazing, like England or France, in a mansion filled with servants to wait on her every whim. But best of all - Cecilia Q. Bloomingfield gets to have what most of us (including Beyonce) only ever dream about: a happily ever after.

However, I am no longer content to let my inner diva lie asleep. It's time to awaken C.Q.B. and let her irrepressible spirit, sexiness and cavalier attitude reign free! It's time to be a new me! Long live Cecilia Q. Bloomingfield! Ladies, it's time to let your inner ego run rampant. Take that, Sasha Fierce!

So does this mean your are having "meaningless relationships without any reprocussions or consequences?" Ha ha! Just kidding! I totally know what you mean though. My inner ego would probably be the opposite of your inner ego! I hope our inner egos could be friends. There are days that I wish I could......;) Suzanne

Oh back in the day when I used to read smut ;)...You've made me miss it so dearly. I tell everyone I'd give up toilets and doctors and modern wonders to just be able to be born in the "Bonnet Times", where castles and sultry romances are all a women needs. Why just yesterday I watched Pride and Prejudice twice just so I could hear Mister Darcy beg Miss Elizabeth Bennett to end his misery. The words "I love you" falling from Mister Darcy lips are like heroine to a junkie, for me. But I think I just might have totally went on a tangent just then.... Look what you've done. I think I need to go find myself a good book, tie on a bonnet and live vicariously through some sexy vixen who gets to run around in silky dresses and have royal and arrogant men weeping and wailing for just one night of passionate, meaningless sex.
