Happy Birthday Peter!

It's hard to believe that 2 years have already passed since little Peter came to our family from heaven. Since that time you have grown up so much, and done so many fun things. We love to hear your new words every day, and still love to see you using your sign language. You give the best hugs and kisses, and even though it frustrates me sometimes, I am so grateful that you have a curious mind and want to figure out how everything works. You love to unlock doors, turn on faucets, plug in electronic equipment, fasten your own seat belt, and use the VCR all by yourself. (Thank heaven for child lock!) You are learning to share, and I love that you are kind to all the other children in nursery class. You love to climb on mom's lap and read books or look at the blog (especially pictures of your family), and you could probably watch videos of yourself all day long.

You are a good little helper too. You are so good at doing laundry with mom, and loading the dishwasher with dad. You love to put the groceries away (even if you don't like to do that actual shopping itself). I think it's wonderful that you are always happy to go to bed or take a nap, and that you remind mommy and daddy to say prayers. Sometimes mommy has to pray for patience when you do things that frustrate or scare me, but I think that you are the one who has to be patient with daddy and I while we figure out this whole parenting thing. We love you, and think you are the cutest, smartest little boy that ever was! Happy 2nd birthday!
