"Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile." Albert Einstein

I was inspired today by Presiden Monson's talk on service. In recent weeks I have been trying to think of ways to extend my love to family and friends, and wondering what I could do to give service or help where it was needed?

One of the things I cherish the most in my life is spending time with my husband, Mike. It's not always easy, convenient, or affordable to do a regular date night. One of my many blessings as a wife and mother, is that I have an amazing extended family who are willing to babysit for me continually. I am so grateful to have so many people to call upon (that I trust) to watch my baby. I have often asked myself, what kind of person would I be if I did not return the favor?
Therefore I would like to issue "coupons" to all my friends and family for an evening or two of free babysitting. I sincerely hope that you take me up on my offer, and it extends to anyone who reads this blog. Please don't be shy about redeeming your coupons, after all this will benefit me as much as it will benefit you. As my cousin Heather wisely told me, "How can I receive blessings, if you won't let me help you?!" I hope to hear from you all very soon...

Happy date night!

Love,

Megan

Oh how I love you.. and miss you.
I'm not sure what's going on for the weekend with you.. but it's the antique show. Let me know if you want to come up and go! :)

I LOVED PResident Monson's talk. Some of the truest & Happiest moments in my life have been when I'm serving others.
~~You are VERY much a server.. and I commend you for all of the love that you show others!

I am always happy to hear from you.. on comments and/or a chat on the phone.. so I say it's service to me! LOVE you! XO

I'll take you up on it! Nate and I were just talking about how we actually need to have a date night every once in a while. Thank you, friend!

I loved his talk too. I thought it was wonderful, what he wanted for his birthday from the members of the church.

I love your idea about baby sitting. You are giving a great service.

First, I love Albert's quotes. I finished his bio a few months back and he has some great knowledge.

And it's funny you mention the service talk. Yesterday a friend here on base just had a baby. We were her emergency back up in case she went into labor at night. Well, she had the baby in the AM. But last night around 9 they needed us to watch their toddler. We watched him late into the night. And I told Dan that I really don't mind doing it. It's a little thing that I can do that will help her out. And then I mentioned how many talks on service there were.(Dan has not seen the DVR'd talks yet since he worked all that weekend.) I am excited to re-watch it with him. I was really inspired by this past conference.
